Consecutive translation

Consecutive translation is one of the types of oral translations during which the speaker makes a pause necessary for the interpreter to translate what has been said.

Consecutive interpretation

Consecutive interpreting is most frequently used during smaller events, such as meetings, negotiations, business discussions, trainings, presentations. In consecutive interpreting, the interpreter speaks after the source-language speaker has finished speaking.

Professional consecutive interpreting is one of major areas of our activities. The speech is divided into segments, and the interpreter listens as the speaker progresses through the message. When the speaker pauses or finishes speaking, the interpreter then renders a portion of the message or the entire message in the target language. This service is relevant for meetings involving international speakers or delegates.

Our interpreters specialize in various areas (economic, legal, technical or medical), and the resource materials that you provide will help them to better prepare for the event. This type of interpretation requires deep knowledge of the language and excellent professional skills. It can be used to interpret presentations and conferences where it is not possible to install the system for simultaneous interpreting. It does not require special equipment and therefore, can be used actually in any environment.

In addition, consecutive interpreting, in contrast to simultaneous interpreting, can be performed by one interpreter for a required duration of the event.
